Mozilla Firefox 3

As you must have heard, Mozilla Firefox 3 (only as RC now) will be launched soon. The “Download Day 2008” aims at bringing in as much people as possible to download Firefox 3 on the day of its final release, and set a new Guinness World Record for Most Software Downloaded in 24 Hours.Guinness World Recrods

Sounds like a good deal, right? All you have to do is get Firefox 3 during Download Day to help set the record for most software downloads in 24 hours – it’s that easy. We’re not asking you to swallow a sword or to balance 30 spoons on your face, although that would be kind of awesome.

to set the Guinness World Record from Egypt!

Some extra information about Firefox for the still-IE-fans:

  • Firefox 3 BETA 4 was five times faster than IE7, and three times faster than its older version, Firefox 2.
  • According to some browser statistics done by W3Schools, 24.9% of the users use IE7, 28.9% use IE6, 39.1% use Firefox, and the remaining 7.1% use Safari, Opera and Netscape. In late 2005 – less than 3 years ago – IE6 was 67.8% will Firefox was 13.7%; it has become quite popular, right?!
  • You gotta try the Firefox 3 RC (Release Candidate), it’s way faster – try loading GMail or Facebook now and see how fast it is! You should also check out the new address bar with the search features …
